Eagle Air Open Day


Eagle Air located in the main terminal at Wonderboom Airport held a very successful open day on Saturday 30 September, approximately ninety people attended despite the fact that it fell within the public school holiday.

Eagle Air is one of the only Flight Schools that is conducting regular Cross Country fly always for PPL’s with nigh rating where all such pilots are assisted by an Instructor, acting as Safety Pilot, they attempt to cover all nine provinces in four or five days, weather permitting.

This venture has created extreme interest to the extent that on the last fly away, they had to turn students away due to limited space. These fly aways are attracting many students from other flight schools who are desirous to obtain valuable experience by flying to unfamiliar destinations and as such, are being exposed to different conditions.

Eagle Air has recently been involved in the Rural 2 Rural Initiative Career Expo in Limpopo as well as the Conference Agenda Aviation Festival, held at the Sandton Convention Centre. They have also entered into initiatives with the Global Institute of Aviation as well as with Fly Zulu Aviation

With a training staff consisting of three Grade 2 and six Grade 3 instructors, with in excess 7000 hours experience they are sure to satisfy all training needs. They offer a variety of facilities, including an advanced simulator, with different selection of aircraft for training purposes, to offer a vast flight experience. State of the art briefing rooms which cater to the individual needs of the client are also available. Training courses offered are Private Pilot’s Licence, Night Rating, hour building, Single and Multi-Engine Instrument Ratings, Instructors courses, Commercial Pilot’s Licence for fixed wing, helicopters and turbines.
