Bombardier has revealed that the production of key structural components for the first production Global 8000 is currently in progress at Bombardier sites in Saint-Laurent (Québec), Red Oak (Texas), and Querétaro (Mexico).
Scheduled for service commencement in the latter part of 2025, the Global 8000 private jet will hold the distinction of being the world's fastest and longest-range business jet designed specifically for this purpose, featuring a remarkably smooth ride and the industry's most health-conscious cabin. The aircraft has also been consistently impressive during flight testing, consistently delivering positive outcomes throughout its testing phase.
“The manufacturing process for what will be the industry’s fastest business jet, the impressive ultra-long-range Global 8000, has begun,” said David Murray, Executive Vice President of manufacturing, IT and Bombardier Operational Executive System. “Our engineering and production teams continue to demonstrate unmatched levels of expertise, pride and innovation, qualities that are an intrinsic part of Bombardier’s DNA. Our people’s mastery is behind the progress we are making at our production sites and underscores Bombardier’s culture of excellence, as well as our commitment to elevating the world of aviation.”
“Our customers will soon be able to step aboard an aircraft that sets the standard as the fastest and longest-range purpose-built business aircraft in history, allowing them to reach destinations farther and faster than ever before,” added Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defence. “Connectivity, comfort and arriving refreshed are just as important today as speed and range, which is why we are proud that the Global 8000 will boast the best-in-class cabin altitude and offer Bombardier’s signature smooth ride.”
The aircraft is designed with a cutting-edge range of 8,000 nautical miles and an unmatched top speed of Mach 0.94, enabling it to connect more city pairs such as Dubai-Houston, Singapore-Los Angeles, London-Perth, and many others. Equipped with four distinct living areas and a dedicated crew rest zone, the Global 8000 aircraft can undertake non-stop flights of up to 8,000 nautical miles. This sophisticated business jet will boast the most spacious cabin in its category, complemented by the healthiest cabin environment in the industry.
The aeroplane will provide an exceptional in-flight experience as well. The lavish cabin will feature innovative elements from the Global 7500 aircraft, significantly enhancing passenger comfort. This includes a Principal Suite option with a full-size bed and a stand-up shower in the En-suite. Groundbreaking cabin upgrades will also encompass entertainment control and connectivity, the user-friendly nice Touch CMS and OLED touch dial, as well as Bombardier’s l’Opéra directional audio sound system, all aimed at delivering passengers an unparalleled cabin journey.
With the upcoming introduction of the Global 8000 business jet, existing Global 7500 aircraft clients have the option to purchase an upgrade at one of Bombardier's aircraft service centres. The upgrade offers enhancements such as boosting the aircraft's maximum speed, extending its range, and ensuring passengers experience remarkably low cabin altitudes.
