The Sling Africa Tour is once again upon us and this year will see us Slinging our way through liberating, soulful, rugged Namibia starting May 7th in Upington and ending May 14th at Lanseria! Namibia remains one of the most beautiful countries worldwide, offering travellers a kaleidoscope of activities and adventures to enjoy during their stay in the land of contrasts. Whichever region captures your imagination, you can be assured of a holiday experience second to none. Namibia charms its way into your soul, ensuring that even though you will leave Namibia after your trip, Namibia will never leave you. There is a good chance you will return to this land of endless horizons to explore its hidden treasures further.
This year, the Sling Africa Tour will be starting at Upington International Airport and immediately following the Kalahari Bundu Bash, a camping fly-in is being held at Koppieskraal pan, 100 nm to the northwest. For those Slingers who are already camping at the KBB, we anticipate flying on to Upington International Airport together to meet the balance of the team on Sunday morning, May 7th. From Upington, we plan to route through Keetmanshoop to the Fish River Canyon, on to Sossusvlei and via Solitaire to Swakopmund before heading on to camp wild in the Hoanib River Valley. We’ll then route through Eros, Windhoek en route home to Lanseria or your closest international base.
It should be a wonderful tour and once again we’re looking forward to enjoying it with you. We aim to have up to 12 Sling Aircraft and 24 Slingers join us on this adventure. James Pitman will be leading the tour in our latest development aircraft, the Sling High Wing Taildragger. Accommodation will cost approximately R11,000 per person (600 USD) for the entire trip, which includes breakfast at each location. Lunch, dinner and drinks will be for your own account.
If you would like to experience the Sling Africa Tour for yourself, book and pay before Sunday, April 2nd in order to avoid disappointment!
